Jacob was born and raised in Minnesota. He gave his life to Jesus when he was 17 years old and knew God was calling him into ministry. After graduating high school, he did an internship in Detroit, MI while taking classes through Global University. He became a certified pastor with the Assemblies of God in 2012. In 2013, he moved back to MN. There he served as the youth and associate pastor at Buffalo Community Assembly of God, which is now called Hope Community, in Buffalo, MN. In 2014, he became a licensed pastor with the Assemblies of God.

In 2022, he stepped down from his position to pursue what God was calling him to next. The spring of 2023 brought an invitation from Ashland First Assembly of God in Ashland, WI to interview for the lead pastor position. He was elected to the lead pastor position in September and started in October. In January 2026, the church's name was changed to Anchor Community to better reflect the mission and desires of the church.

Jacob married Abby in 2017 and they now have 2 beautiful daughters. Jacob is passionate about being a devoted husband and loving father. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his girls, watching sitcoms with his wife, and games of any type (board, card, video, etc.).
